Summer Vacation Escapes

While it’s always great to enjoy the comforts of home in the summer months, there’s no better time to get away than summer.  There’s more free time, less workload and all-around less stress.  It’s the perfect time to explore other parts of the world and build new memories.  If you’re still narrowing down options for your summer getaway, keep those global hotspots in mind.

Bali, Indonesia

Bali is one of Indonesia’s great treasures, and it’s perfect for a family or group of friends regardless of interests.  The serene beaches are great for sun and relaxation.  If you’re looking forward to unplugging, enjoying drinks and rejuvenating, this is the perfect place for you.  But if you’re more of an adventure guy, Bali is still a great spot.  From surfing to scuba diving to guided tours, there’s plenty to keep you busy and active.

New Zealand

new-zealand

New Zealand is the perfect place to reconnect with nature.  Though it may look small on the world stage compared to other locales, there’s a lot to take in during your visit.  Explore the vineyards of Auckland Central by foot, whale watch and view the West Coast glaciers in Christchurch or take the Middle-earth trek from Auckland Central to Queenstown.  Whichever path you choose, it’s a wonderful way to unplug from your tech-fueled life and commune with the wild.

Bangkok, Thailand

Bangkok is another great global destination with a little something for everyone.  For a taste of the outdoors, visitors can walk the city’s numerous parks, decorated with gorgeous palm trees, or take guided tours through Khao Yai National Park.  Simply admire the architecture of historic buildings like the Sri Mariam Man Temple or Phra Sumen Fort.  During the trip, you can also take part in the vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene by taking a food tour or local cooking class.  Bangkok is a lively city full of action and opportunities to fully consume Thai culture.

Hawaii

Hawaii is home to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches.  But in addition to its active surf culture and breathtaking landscapes, the state also has several active volcanos and canyons.  This is Mother Nature at its most powerful.  Also while in Hawaii, you can take in historic sites like Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor.  For the active guys, strap on your hiking boots for trails like the Na Pali Coast in Kauai. Also, witness the majestic power of local humpback whales in Maui.

Fiji

fiji-1

Like all the other locations on this list, Fiji has a global reputation as one of the most beautiful vacation spots in the world.  Aside from relaxation, popular activities include snorkeling, surfing, and visiting botanical gardens and wildlife refuges.  It’s an island filled with history and beauty that’s sure to satisfy every bullet point on your vacation checklist.

Whether your vacation goal is to party the night away, achieve ultimate serenity or stay active every day, these locations will help you meet your goals while creating some of the most incredible vacation memories of your life.
